Green Waste Facility
The Green Waste Facility (GWF) located in Canning Vale creates mulch from the clean green waste gathered by council verge collections. CLEAN GREEN WASTE is also accepted from residents and commercial operators who bring it to the Resource Recovery Group - Canning Vale on trailers (fees apply, see below).
Resource Recovery Group can process over 30,000 tonnes of green waste per year. 100% of the Green Waste is recovered, with no residual waste going to landfill. By disposing of your Green Waste at the Resource Recovery Group - Canning Vale, you’ll be helping to create a more sustainable future for the region.

The following items CAN be processed:
- Tree loppings and shrub prunings up to 1.5 metres in length and 350mm in diameter
- Palms (max cut lengths 1.5m)
- Bags or boxes of leaves or grass clippings (bags and boxes must be taken away after delivery)
The following items CANNOT be processed:
- Weeds and root materials
- Sand and soil materials
- Dug out lawn
- General rubbish
- Junk or whitegoods (these will only be collected during the annual junk verge collections)
*Town of East Fremantle only residents who hold tip/trailer passes can enter the facility with up to 1.5 cubic metres per pass. (ie – if you have 3 cubic metres, two passes are required.)

Fees are $30.00 – $75.00 per tonne inc GST. Not including oversized and palms.
